AZ Initial - Renewal Unarmed Security Guard Card

COURSE COST $100.00 ( 8-HOUR CLASS)

Guard Training Requirements

As required by ARS §32-2613 and ARS §32-2632, training must be provided to Security Guards and registered with the Department of Public Safety, or DPS. To be eligible, they must be at least eighteen years of age and authorized to work in the United States. The qualification process is based on background screening and pre-service training. The curriculum below:

• Orientation

• Criminal Law

• Uniform

• Communications

• Use of Force

• General Procedures

• Crime Scene

• Ethics

• First Response

Note: Armed guards must also complete the DPS approved 16 Hour Firearms Training Course for Armed Guards and AZ DPS state fees (Not Included)
