This class is preparation for the State of Arizona armed security guard certification. It includes firearm safety, firearm nomenclature, legal aspects of firearm usage, basic marksmanship, and live fire qualification. untitled

Four basic firearm safety rules

Firearm nomenclature – mechanical safeties of handguns

Legal use of deadly force and threatening deadly force

Basics of marksmanship and safe gun handling

Sufficient firearm proficiency required by the State of Arizona for armed security officer

Format: Three, 8-hour days of classroom and range time

Student Requirements: semi-automatic (Duty Type Handgun) 9mm 40. 45 and .357 Sig calibers “NO HIGH POINTS” (one may be borrowed from the instructor), strong side belt holster, 3 magazines and holster, belt, 100 rounds of ammunition, eye protection, ear protection (school has some available if needed), and a ball cap to protect the face.

Gun Rental: $20.00 (Includes 3 mags, Gun Holster and Magazine Pouch)

Includes: Certificate, Fingerprint Card
